The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office proudly presents the Forensic Science Division’s podcast. Since true crime has become a popular gene, forensic science has gained notoriety, but often times this only provides a glimpse into the actual realities of this field. Two of our Criminalists, Bodean and Darby, have decided share with you what it’s really like to work in forensics. From humble beginnings the field of forensic science has transformed into a regulated field of scientific experts. In the last seventy years there have been major advancements in technology and regulation that have shaped the field that we have made our careers in. In this episode we pay homage to the scientists and tests that have come before us and share with you some of the notable milestones along the way.
